Moving Day:
 
For Boston, Brighton, and Allston residents: If you have a moving van or truck and need to park on the street, you will need to secure a permit to park on the street. For information, look here: http://www.cityofboston.gov/transportation/streetoccupancy.asp
 
For Brookline residents: Parking on an unmetered street is allowed for up to two hours. If you think you may need to park for longer, or if you will need to park on a street with meters, contact the Town of Brookline transportation division. More information may be found in the FAQ section here: http://www.brooklinema.gov/parking.
 
After Moving Day:
 
For Boston, Brighton, and Allston residents: you may receive a free parking permit from the City of Boston. Contact the Office of Parking Clerk at 617-635-4682. Please remember that your vehicle must be registered to your new Boston address in order to apply for an on-street parking permit. You can contact the Boston Registry of Motor Vehicles at 617-351-4500.
 
For Brookline residents: please remember that on-street parking is strictly prohibited between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.-you will be ticketed.
